You don’t have to be an expert, or even very experienced with resin in order to recreate this design. In fact, these earrings are a great way to learn the basics of pouring and curing resin, using small inset metal components.
The resin can accommodate all sorts of other mediums well, not just the UV polish. Feel free to try coloring the resin with paint, adding solid glitter, and even small rhinestones or nail stickers!
Remember, a little resin goes a long way, so it’s better to begin by using a small amount, and cure thin layers one at a time. If the top of the piece still contains ridges, or missing areas, continue to add resign layers, pushing the resin gently to the edges, using an orange stick, until the top is smooth, glossy and “domed.”
