Welcome:
Hey beautiful! In today’s tutorial I will show you how to make these adorable, seasonal, Autumn Leaf inspired brick stitch beaded earrings. Please see below for the link to download the free beading pattern, and bead these earrings along with me.
We will combine the beaded brick stitch leaf components with acrylic leaves from Beebeecraft, and Czech glass maple leaves, in a coordinating autumnal tones. This design requires four colors of size 11/0 Miyuki Delica beads; three colors for the color-changing leaf, and one color for the stem/veins. See below for the colors I used, but feel free to change it up completely with a totally different color palette!
Autumn Leaf Earring Materials:
✔ 4 colors – 11/0 Miyuki Delica Beads
✔ 2 – Acrylic Leaves
✔ 2 – Accent Beads (like Czech maple leaves)
✔ 4-5 ft. 6lb Fireline, or beading thread of choice
✔ Beading Needle, Size 10
✔ 8″ – 22g Jewelry Wire
✔ 2 – 5mm Jump Rings
✔ 2 – 3mm Jump Rings
✔ 2 – Ear Wire FindingsÂ
✔ Jewelry Pliers (round nose, chain nose)Â
✔ Wire CuttersÂ
✔ Scissors
optional:
✔ Bead Mat
✔ White Heart Gift Tag (earring card)Â
✔ 1/16″ Hole Punch (earring card)Â
Helpful Info:
TIP 1:Â I recommend using 6lb Fireline, and a Size 10 Beading Needle.
TIP 2: Buy Miyuki Delicas with Duracoat finish if given the option. Metallic colors, in particular, without that coating may wear off over time, especially if worn often and/or around water.
