About the Wire Wrapped Pendant
The wire wrapping technique demonstrated in this pendant necklace tutorial may also be applied to other shapes, sizes, types of stones and metal components! I also found these Tiger Eye pendants from Beebeecraft, which could also work in a similar way. The main attribute to look for, if adapting this design, is the large hole that is located through the top/face of the stone slab. If you would like to adapt this design to a stone with a smaller hole, consider using a wire with a smaller diameter, such as 22-24 gauge.
Aluminum wire is used in this jewelry design instead of the commonly used copper wire. Aluminum wire is much softer, and therefore more pliable, so it is quite easy to manipulate with fingers alone. Beebeecraft has a wide range of aluminum jewelry wire in all sorts of fun colors, in addition to the silver color used in the tutorial. Feel free to use copper wire instead, just be prepared to use a little more finger strength, and the assistance of jewelry pliers.
